Title: Account Manager

Reports to: Senior Account Manager
The ideal Account Manager has a passion for bringing new ideas to life! They are a team player with a “hands-on” approach. They are a dynamic thinker with a positive approach to thought leadership. They build relationships with clients and deliver consistent results that meet or exceed client expectations.
This role includes the planning, execution and measurement of programs and projects within the parameters of the overall client brand strategy. The Account Manager will assist in proposal development and budget creation. They will manage program timelines and deliver flawless brand experiences from start to finish, effectively delegating tasks to Account Coordinators. As the point of contact for day-to-day client operations, they will be responsible for providing program updates both internally and to clients and will work alongside Senior Management to grow the business and provide proactive solutions to client challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Executional lead on all client programs, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Contributing to the planning, project management, execution and reporting. This may include some resource planning and delegation to account coordinators and other team members.
Project Management (New)
Owner of project timelines, ensuring all key stakeholders (internal and external) are held accountable to deadlines for production, execution and reporting.
Client Communication Client relationship building, and client and stakeholder management including anticipating and managing potential challenges on specific projects. Ensuring ongoing and trusted two-way communications with clients. Provides regular and timely communication with the account team for overall client account coordination and success.
Contribute to client strategy including providing innovative ideas, exploring new opportunities for client success, and continuous improvement. Provides regular and timely communication with the account team for overall client account coordination and success.
Budget Support Support Senior Manager with building, tracking and reconciliation of all program budgets.
XMC Morale Contributes to sharing ideas, offering support to fellow teammates, and possessing a positive attitude on a daily basis.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIRED
Post-secondary degree, ideally in Business or Marketing
3+ years of related agency and/or experiential marketing experience
Experience managing a direct report
Experienced Manager of client projects and events
Ability to effectively develop and communicate ideas to the client and internal senior team
Ability to establish and grow trusted relationships
Team player with a positive attitude
Exudes calmness under pressure
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Experience within the sports industry is an asset
