Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $48,000 - $66,000

Location: Mississauga, ON or Calgary, AB

ROLE OVERVIEW


The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and detail-oriented team player with a passion for bringing projects to life. They are eager to learn, proactive in managing initiatives, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.


This role supports the planning, execution, and evaluation of corporate citizenship initiatives and campaigns aligned with Empire’s Corporate Citizenship strategy. The candidate will facilitate integrated project planning and coordination, assessment, and both internal and external contributor involvement to help deliver high-quality projects and initiatives.


Working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. channel owners, brand marketing, external partners, etc.), this role ensures the successful delivery of campaigns from start to finish through the integrated marketing campaign process. The candidate will ensure timelines are met, materials are organized, and both internal and external teams are informed and aligned throughout project execution.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall

Facilitate the planning, tracking, execution, and evaluation of initiatives across the corporate citizenship portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.


Project Facilitation

Establish and maintain project timelines and tracking deliverables. Lead regular status meetings while coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure responsibilities are established and completed on schedule.


Communication

Facilitate clear and consistent communication across internal teams and external partners. Provide regular updates on project status, flag potential risks, and ensure alignment across teams.


Strategy

Support the development and execution of corporate citizenship initiatives by contributing ideas, gathering insights, and identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.


Budget Support

Support Manager with building, tracking, and reconciliation of all related budgets as required.


Morale

Contribute positively to team culture by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas, and maintaining a proactive and collaborative attitude.


REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


  • Post-secondary degree, ideally in Project Management, Business, Marketing, Community Investment/Corporate Citizenship or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in marketing, events, and specifically project coordination.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for internal & external collaboration.

  • Eagerness to learn and develop within an evolving business and marketing environment.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.

  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Experience or interest in integrated marketing campaigns is an asset.

  • Experience within the corporate citizenship area is an asset.
