ROLE OVERVIEW
XMC is looking for an energetic and driven Account Manager who is ready to take on new and exciting challenges with Canada’s Official Experiential Marketing™ Agency.
This role is ideal for an experienced people leader with deep recruitment expertise and a commitment to developing high performing field teams. They are a dynamic thinker with a positive approach to leadership, who builds strong client relationships and delivers consistent results. Experience within the alcohol and beverage industry is a strong asset, as this role will primarily support client programs in this category and requires an understanding of category compliance, responsible service, and premium brand representation standards.
The Staffing Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the client and on-premise account partners, overseeing portal data input, scheduling, and ongoing communication to ensure smooth program execution.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall
Leader in XMC staffing solutions department and effective program management
Supports and develops marketing strategies/plans for alcohol sampling programming
Executional lead on client programs, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
Own recruitment strategy and deployment plans for national alcohol sampling programs
Collaborate with account leads to forecast staffing needs and allocate internal resources accordingly
Review client feedback and event data to drive performance improvements
Understanding of the pace, timelines, and logistics that come with high-volume, sampling staffing
Strategic Staffing & Program Management
Design and execute scalable hiring campaigns and regional staffing strategies to build talent pools for on-premise and sampling events/programs
Ownership of planning, project management, execution and reporting. This may include some resource planning and delegation to account coordinators and other team members.
Work closely with direct reports to evaluate and optimize program delivery
Proactively resolve high-impact field issues, such as last-minute cancellations, underperformance, or retail partner concerns
Client Communication
Client relationship building, and stakeholder management including anticipating and managing potential challenges on specific projects
Ensuring ongoing and trusted two-way communications with clients
Provides regular and timely communication with account team for overall client account coordination and success
Finance & Administration
Building, tracking and reconciliation of program budgets
Maintain accurate tracking systems for shift scheduling and payroll
Work with Ceridian payroll systems and/or ATS as required
Develop, manage and reconcile program budgets for staffing operations
Strong understanding of responsible service regulations (e.g., Serving It Right, Smart Serve, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing
3+ years of related agency and/or XM client/staffing management, ideally in the alcohol and beverage category
Direct experience managing on-premise sampling programs (bars, restaurants, licensed venues)
Understanding of brand standards and consumer engagement within the alcohol/beverage space
Experience collaborating with sales or territory managers from beverage clients on field execution
Proven experience leading large-scale staffing programs, ideally across multiple markets
In-depth knowledge of Canadian labour laws and compliance practices
Experience with scheduling tools, payroll systems (Ceridian preferred), and workforce management software
Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage a high volume of deadlines and field escalations in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with sharp organizational skills
Budget/Financial experience for effective program development, staff incentives and reconciliation
Bilingual (French/English) an asset
