Company: XMC Sponsorship & Experiential Marketing Agency

Title: Account Manager, On Premise Marketing

Reports to: Senior Account Manager

Team: Molson Coors Account Team

Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $67,500 - $80,000

Location: Toronto, ON/GTA

COMPANY OVERVIEW

XMC is an award winning Canadian-based marketing agency that believes Experience is Everything. This belief informs our strategic approach for creating organic moments and delivering consumer engagements that capture interest and drive memorable campaigns.  Our data-first thinking allows us to integrate the consumer experience through multiple channels including Sponsorship, Experiential Marketing™ and media that deliver beyond expectations for brands.

ROLE OVERVIEW

In the fast-paced on premise (bars, restaurants, and nightlife venues) environment, we're seeking a Manager, On Premise Marketing to join our Molson account team and bring brand experiences to life.  Managing on premise programs and events end-to-end, this person will own client relationships, venue partnerships, oversee approvals, and coordinate flawless on-the-ground execution with the activation team.

The ideal candidate brings exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, a hands-on mentality, and the flexibility to excel both independently and within a cross-functional team. Playing a pivotal role in growth and mentorship, the candidate will ensure consistent results that exceed client expectations.

Working closely with both the account and staffing teams, the candidate will be the driving force behind the execution of on premise brand experiences: managing timelines, juggling multiple moving pieces, aligning a wide range of stakeholders (clients, venues, suppliers, and field staff), and serving as the primary day-to-day contact for execution on the ground.

If you’re passionate about the on-premise channel, know what makes a great bar program work, and love working with industry leading cross functional teams to produce top tier brand experiences, XMC is the company for you.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management

  • Lead and build relationships with clients and on premise partners that are based on mutual respect and executional excellence.

  • Identify and inform on premise, retail, and hospitality industry trends.

  • Work with the Strategy team to develop insights on consumer behaviour before and after the program executes.

  • Be a business builder, not a brief taker.

Project Management

  • Own all program timelines and deliverables for execution across the cross-functional On-Premise working team.

  • Build all key communication documents, including, but not limited to, budgets, critical paths and workback schedules.

  • Hold venues, suppliers, and teams accountable to deadlines for production and onsite event execution.

  • Lead reporting on all programming.

  • Be present onsite at key venues and flagship events to oversee execution, manage staff, and troubleshoot in real time where required (approx. 30% of events).

Staffing & Team Leadership

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing on-premise staffing roster through targeted recruitment, retention, and talent development initiatives.

  • Staff deployment and management, ensuring appropriate coverage, resource allocation, attendance tracking, and shift fulfillment across all programs.

  • Oversee communication and coordination with field teams to ensure executional excellence and timely resolution of staffing challenges.

  • Manage an Account Coordinator and/or Sr. Account Coordinator as required.

Administration

  • Support on reporting and day to day management of small to large-sized program budgets.

  • Review and approve expenses, reimbursements, and payroll submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing to support budget reconciliation.

  • Track expenses and reimbursements, ensuring expenses are submitted on time and coded appropriately to support budget reconciliation and financial reporting.

  • Contribute to the overall management and maintenance of cloud-based storage used by XMC.

XMC Culture & Morale

  • Contribute to the sharing of ideas, best in class practices and challenges to help in the success of others.

  • Support internal pillar teams to continue to foster a positive work environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of related agency and/or marketing team experience.

  • Experience managing many moving pieces and a wide range of stakeholders such as clients, venues, suppliers, and field staff across multiple simultaneous programs.

  • Available to work onsite, in office and at venues and events, including evenings and weekends as programming requires.

  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external working teams.

  • Strong organizational skills: deliver against tight timelines, multiple priorities, and manage simultaneous deliverables.

  • Strong technology skills specifically in Microsoft Office 365.

  • Experienced and confident in problem solving and an ability to thrive in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty.

  • Experience presenting in variable environments (internal or external, small and large groups).

  • Strong understanding of the bar, nightlife, and on premise industry (how venues operate and what drives a successful on premise program).

  • Bilingual (French/English) an asset.

  • Willing to travel across Canada, as may be required.

XMC'S VALUES

  • X-Factor Excellence: We aspire to work with people who treat others with empathy and respect, champion positive candor, and foster resilience to bounce back from challenges with a positive mindset.

  • Trust & Credibility: We take ownership of our actions, pursue excellence through high standards, and build trust by establishing a foundation of reliability and credibility.

  • Culture Creators: We approach challenges fearlessly through a “can-do” approach that earns us the respect of clients. We instill confidence through exemplary leadership, celebrate achievements as a united team and nurture an environment that promotes continuous development for sustained growth.

  • Harmonious Collaborators: Seamless collaboration allows our teams to achieve our shared goals, encourage curiosity, and foster an open exchange of ideas and perspectives that drive innovation and client success.

We thank all those who submit applications; however only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. XMC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). XMC is committed to providing an accessible recruitment process. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
