Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000 (pro-rated for duration of contract)

ROLE OVERVIEW

Sobeys is looking for a Coordinator, Shopper and Experiential Marketing (1-Year Contract) to help manage the day-to-day coordination of our in-store demonstration program and in-store radio advertising for one of Canada’s largest retailers.


The Coordinator will support our in-store food demonstration program managing regular processes in collaboration with the internal stakeholders and our partner agencies. They will also help manage day-to-day coordination of our in-store radio advertising program seeking approval on radio scripts and reviewing programming. They will also have the opportunity to work on other ad-hoc requests and programs that support the Shopper and Experiential Marketing team and objectives.


This role includes contributing as required to the successful execution of events which includes the following responsibilities but are not limited to monitoring a shared department inbox, evaluating requests, reviewing bulletins, liaising approvals with internal stakeholders, managing store communications, organizing report data, meeting regularly with stakeholders and agencies and being onsite at weekend events, as required.


In addition to managing the weekly responsibilities, the candidate should be able to provide forward thinking to help enhance our programs as well as the overall business.


Accountabilities also include successful agency interface and relationship management with internal stakeholders.  The coordinator should demonstrate collaboration, strive for excellence, pay attention to details, and improve effectiveness overall.


This is a full time role – Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with three (3) in-office days per week at the head office in Mississauga, ON.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the on-time and delivery of in-store demonstrations & in-store radio advertising including weekly planning, project management, communication, and reporting. Time Spent: 80%

  • Successful agency relationship management. Time Spent: 10%

  • Contribute to the expansion and evolution of both programs as we scale nationally, including providing innovative ideas, exploring new opportunities, and continuous improvement. Time Spent: 10%


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Related university degree, college diploma or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience with national events and/or regional events

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong team player and collaborates with others to achieve shared goals

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to apply analytical thinking to reporting

  • One-two years of marketing experience (Agency and/or brand setting preferred)

  • Can work effectively under pressure

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Resourceful in finding information and solutions

  • Takes initiative and is self-motivated

  • Positive attitude

  • Demonstrates dedication to program success

  • Holds a valid driver’s license

  • Bilingualism an asset (French/English)
